Collection of your kit

edited June 12 in Buying a kit

The cheapest way to collect your kit is to hire a van mid week for a day. You will be surprised how cheap they are these days.

Size of van is important, you don't want to increase fuel use an hire costs with a van than is too big, BUT the kit needs to fit!

The kit dimensions are 2950 mm long and 1360 mm wide.
The width and height is no problem for any van but lengths are shown below.
Ford Transit LWB 3494 mm.
Merc Sprinter MWB 3364 mm.
Renault Master MWB 3083 mm.
Vauxhall Movano MWB 3083 mm.
Peugeot Boxer L2H2 3120 mm.
Citroen Relay L2H2 3120 mm.
Fiat Ducato MWB 3120 mm.
VW Crafter MWB 3265 mm.

Trailers can be used but the GRP bonnet is wider than most car doors at 1250 mm. This means strapping the GRP to the trailer and straps can cause damage as they vibrate, come loose and fly off!

Don't forget that you will need some old blankets or carpet or card to pack the parts in the van.

Please check the above dimensions with your hire company before booking and advise if any of the above is incorrect, we don't want to stick another one on a roof rack or a trailer that is the size of a wheel barrow again!
